Following the loss of life of her husband, Jeff Baena, by suicide, Aubrey Plaza and the remainder of his household have launched a press release.

“That is an unimaginable tragedy,” the assertion reads, per People. “We’re deeply grateful to everybody who has provided help. Please respect our privateness throughout this time.”

On January 5, it was reported that Baena, who was 47, was discovered lifeless in his dwelling in Los Angeles on January 3, per Associated Press. Baena was an indie filmmaker who co-wrote 2004’s I Heart Huckabees, and directed Plaza in his zombie comedy, Life After Beth, in 2014.

Aubrey Plaza and Jeff Baena began courting in 2011, but it surely wasn’t revealed that they had gotten married till Plaza referred to him as her “darling husband” in an Instagram post in 2021.

“I believe that once you’re with somebody that’s in your area, they perceive what you’re coping with on a deeper stage,” Plaza advised People in a 2019 interview. “So clearly you’ll be able to help one another and actually perceive sort of the journey that we’re each on.” She added, “However, you understand, working along with your companion can all the time be difficult.
